1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AI Tag Cleaner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

AI Tag Cleaner provides in-browser tools that remove file metadata from images: the EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP and C2PA Content Credentials data stored inside the image file. All image processing is performed client-side on your own device. JPEG, PNG and WEBP files keep their format and pixels; HEIC files are converted to JPEG.

What the Service does not do

It does not remove, edit or cover visible labels, captions, logos or watermarks that are drawn on the image pixels.
It does not guarantee removal of invisible pixel-level watermarks (for example SynthID) or of any other signal that a platform or AI system can detect from the image content itself.
It does not remove, hide or change a label that a social network, website or app has already attached to a post, and it does not change data stored on third-party servers or in account logs.
It does not guarantee how any platform will label, rank, accept or moderate an image after its metadata has been removed.

3. Usage Credits & Plans

Guest Access: Guest users receive 1 free photo credit in their browser profile without creating an account.
Free Accounts: Registered free accounts receive 5 free credits once upon sign-up.
Credit Packs: Users can purchase credit packs (Starter 30 credits for $3.99; Popular 80 credits for $5.99). Packs are one-time payments and do not require a recurring subscription.
Credit Validity: Purchased credits, including any first-pack bonus, stay valid for 24 months from the date of your most recent credit pack purchase. Each new purchase extends the validity of your entire remaining balance by another 24 months. When the validity period ends, unused purchased credits expire and are removed from your balance. Your Account page shows the date your purchased credits are valid until.
Order of Use: Credits are used oldest first: sign-up credits before purchased credits, and earlier purchases before later ones.
Free and Bonus Credits: The 5 free sign-up credits do not expire. Free and bonus credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded or transferred.
Unlimited Subscription: Unlimited subscribers receive unconstrained photo processing for the duration of an active paid subscription ($14.99/month).
Taxes: Prices are in USD and exclude sales tax and VAT. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout based on your location, added to the total, and paid by you.
Credit Usage: 1 credit cleans 1 photo in single or bulk mode. Failed operations do not consume credits.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Payments and billing management are handled securely by Paddle.
Credit packs are one-time purchases and non-recurring.
The Unlimited subscription renews automatically each month until canceled prior to the renewal date.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Account page via the Paddle Customer Portal.
Refunds are evaluated in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and Paddle's merchant terms.
If we discontinue the Service, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days in advance. Unused credits from packs purchased within the 12 months before that notice can be refunded on request, in proportion to the credits left unused.

5. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You retain full ownership and responsibility for all images processed using the Service.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to infringe upon intellectual property rights.
You agree not to attempt to circumvent quota controls or abuse the API infrastructure.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI Tag Cleaner is designed to remove file metadata only, as described in Section 2. It does not promise or guarantee the removal of visible labels or watermarks, of invisible pixel-level watermarks, or of any label that a platform shows or applies independently of the file. Requests to remove a label that a platform already displays on a post are outside the scope of the Service and must be directed to that platform. AI Tag Cleaner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will take effect upon posting to the website. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
