AI Tag Cleaner is built with privacy as a foundational principle. Unlike traditional online photo tools, all image processing occurs locally in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to our servers or third parties.

1. Image Processing & Data Handling

Local Execution: All image metadata analysis and EXIF/XMP/IPTC/C2PA stripping run entirely on your device inside your browser.
Zero Server Uploads: Image binary data and photo filenames are never sent to our servers.
No AI Training: Because your photos never leave your device, they are never used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

2. Quota Ledger & Account Data

When you use AI Tag Cleaner, we collect minimal data required to manage your account and credit balances:

Guest Credits: We issue a secure signed HTTP cookie (als_quota) to enforce the initial guest credit. This cookie contains a random token and no personal information.
Account Users: If you create a free or paid account, we store your email address, hashed password (or Google OAuth ID), credit balance, and subscription status in our Cloudflare database.
Credit Telemetry: When a cleaning batch completes, your browser sends a request with only the count of processed items to update your credit ledger. Photo contents or names are never included.
Deleting Your Account: In your account, open Settings and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your email address, name, password or Google link, credit balance and subscription link, and cancels any active subscription first. Usage counters that remain are no longer connected to you. Paddle keeps payment and tax records as the law requires.

3. Subscription & Payment Processing

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Paddle. When you subscribe to a Premium plan:

Payment details (credit cards, billing address) are collected directly by Paddle and its payment processors.
We do not store or receive your full credit card numbers or financial credentials.
We receive only subscription status updates (such as active state, plan interval, and renewal date) via secure server webhooks to grant Premium access.

4. Analytics & Cookies

Cookies we set: als_quota (guest credit, 1 year), als_session (keeps you signed in), als_vid (a random visitor ID for our own usage statistics), and short-lived als_next and als_oauth used only during sign-in.
Our own statistics: when you clean a photo, sign up or sign in, we record the event with the page, referrer, approximate location (country, city) and device type. Photo contents and file names are never included.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: we use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which measures visits and how the site is used. Google sets its own cookies and processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. You can block these cookies in your browser or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
